DARNA

created by Mars Ravelo, for some Filipino comic book company.

Owned by somebody in the Phillipines. and presumably is copywritten. Used without permission. I'm just making a bit of fanart, not trying to start an international incident.

Mesh was skoped by Ken "Kenn" Hallaron (AKA Kenn X) using some female bald mesh, probably one of Interceptor's, and a bunch of parts mostly from Tommy's Versatile series (except the loincloth which came off of Taskmaster by Grenadier (I think, it's been too long).

Mesh is a Freedom Force mesh. I don't own a copy of "... vs the Third Reich" so I don't know if it'll work there cold or need converting. I hope it works somehow.

It uses (at least) the Azbat-for-female_basic or Ink's Wonder Woman keyframes. Probably will use most female_basic compatable keys. I'm including a copy of Azbat for female_basic which I hexed to make more of the melee maneuvers alternate animations (Really, ten powers, do we need 32 individual punches?)

Skin was also by Ken "Kenn" Hallaron, using a Gryphon base. Some of the layout for the tiara wings was based on Tommy's base skins for the head wings.

Project was done half because Darna was on my ToDo list because she's a classic heroine with old school vibe, and I just like the look of the character. And then when I saw my buddy (we met at the HeroGames boards a few years ago) SteamTeck had requested her (apparently annually for four years), I had to bump her up on my list.

It's a NifSkope mesh so it's already me re-arranging other people's much harder work, so I really don't care what you do with the mesh. Similarly, if you want to use the skin, or parts of the skin (some other character with stars on her boobs, maybe?) go right ahead. I couldn't do anything about it even if it bothered me. And again, big thanks to Gryphon for the base skin, and 'Ceptor, Tommy, and Grenadier for the mesh bits.

Oh, and a big thank you also to Alex Benavides (ABenavides or Alex) who has hosted a lot of my stuff for years.

And here's Darna's information paragraph, courtesey of SteamTeck:

DARNA is a fictional character and superheroine created by Filipino comics legend Mars Ravelo In 1947. In her more popular incarnations, she is a warrior from outer space manifesting herself through a girl from Earth, named Narda.
Darna's powers include flight, super strength, super speed and near-invulnerability. This is due to her psionic background. Thus a form of telekinesis enhances her speed and strength and allows her flight. Her skin has a high level of invulnerability because of her race. Her psionic abilities also allow her to exercise limited psionic influence or telepathy. For weapons, the ruby encrusted in the winged medallion on her helmet also augments her psionic abilities, allowing her to emit a powerful concussion blast.
In the 2005 TV series, she also has heat vision, lent by the ruby. In the TV series, she uses her bracelets, similar to Wonder Woman's to deflect bullet impacts since impact also hurts. Narda transforms into Darna, and vice versa, by shouting out their respective names. First, however, Narda has to swallow the white stone, which conveniently comes out of her mouth every time Darna changes back into herself. However, it was not so in her comic incarnations

Darna has become a Philippine cultural icon and the most recognizable character among Ravelo's creations.
